This policy explains which cookies the Vela website uses. The site is owned by NAKA LABS S.L. and the policy follows Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) and the criteria of the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
Short version: this site has no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party cookies. The only cookie that exists is the session cookie on the account pages, and it is only created if you ask for it.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. It can keep a session signed in, remember preferences, or analyse browsing.
2. Which cookies this site uses
One, first-party and strictly necessary. It is created only when you verify your email with a code on the delete account or download data pages:
| Cookie | Owner | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
vela_web_session | Vela | Keeping your identity verified for the few minutes the deletion or download takes. It is HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and Secure in production. | 15 minutes |
The cookie clears itself when it expires, and immediately when the account is deleted. It holds none of your data: only a signed reference to the session.
The rest of the site — the home page, the legal pages, support, a shared month, or an invitation — creates no cookies at all.
3. Consent and banners
Cookies strictly necessary to provide a service the user has expressly requested are exempt from prior consent. That is why this site shows no banner: there is nothing to accept or reject.
If analytics, advertising, or any non-necessary cookie is added in the future, a prior consent banner will be required and this policy will be updated before any of them is installed.
4. How to manage them
You can inspect, block, or delete cookies from your browser settings. Note that blocking the technical cookie prevents completing account deletion and data download from the web; in that case you can do both from the app itself.
5. The app uses no cookies
The mobile app uses no cookies and no advertising identifiers. It keeps your session in the operating system's secure store, and nothing else.
